Welcome to the OMSE homepage
The Office of Medical Student Education (OMSE) supports the development, coordination, integration, and evaluation of the medical student education program, and supports the faculty and staff in the delivery of the educational program leading to the MD degree. OMSE provides centralized support for the first two years of the medical student curriculum; support for curricular developments and issues arising in the third year clerkships, and centralized support for the third year Intersessions; development and maintenance of the fourth-year elective curriculum; and coordination and support for the many community service-learning and outreach programs (e.g., Commitment to Underserved People, Rural Health Professions Program, Border-Indigenous-Global Health Program) available to College of Medicine students. OMSE also is responsible for coordinating the dual degree MD/Masters in Public Health program, and for providing faculty and staff development and support in a variety of formats to support the College’s educational mission and goals.
